• The next 2012-2013 Budget Workshop Meeting will be on Wednesday, February 1 at 6pm in the auditorium. 
  

Anyone from the community that can come to these meetings is encouraged to attend.  There is no requirement to commit to attending every meeting.  The NCS School Board welcomes input and insights from members of the community.  A list of meeting dates is posted in the Budget Information section of the website menu.

 

• The Northville Jr/Sr High School Web-Based Parent Portal is now active.

Using the parent portal, parents, guardians and students can access grades, assignments, attendance and more, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  CLICK HERE for Parent Portal Instructions

• "New York State's Property Tax Cap:  A Citizen's Guide"

NCS has available copies of a an excellent new publication entitled, "New York State's Property Tax Cap:  A Citizens' Guide."  The publication includes information on school districts, villages, towns, cities, counties, fire departments, libraries, sewer districts, and water districts.  Copies can be obtained by contacting the Superintendent's Office at 863-7000 extension 4121.

The publication is also posted on the website of the Empire Center for New York State Policy at www.empirecenter.org

• The next Board of Education business meeting will be Tuesday, February 14 at 6:30pm in the Auditorium.
  
  

• NOTE:  Thanks to all who participated in the last "Discussion Meeting."  Due to the scheduling of the Board's Budget Workshops for 2/1, 2/15, 2/29, 3/14, 3/28, and 4/4, in addition to the regular monthly Business meetings of the BOE, the Board of Education has suspended the monthly Discussion Meetings originally scheduled for the first Tuesday of February, March, and April.  It is likely that the Discussion Meetings will resume in May, or sooner, if needed.  In the meantime, members of the public are encouraged to attend the Budget Workshops and Business Meetings, and may also contact the Superintendent at 863-7000, extension 4121 with any questions or concerns.

• Attention Everybody!!! New NCS Phone Routing System!

Due to the elimination and consolidation of secretarial positions in the 2011-12, we no longer have a "Main Office" secretary to answer general calls and route calls to other extensions.  Now, when you call our main number (863-7000) you will hear a series of prompts that will take you through one or more stetps to reach your desired extension.  You may still dial an extension if you know it, or use the dial-by-name directory.

• Where You Enter The Building May Have Changed:

We have changed the location of our Elementary Office.  The office is now located directly opposite the 3rd Street    entrance in the room formerly known as the Main Office.  In there you will find Mrs. Sweet, the Elementary Office Secretary, and Mr. Crankshaw, our Elementary Principal.  We have also changed how visitors enter the school.  People wishing to go to the Elementary Office, Superintendent's Office and Business office should use the 3rd Street entrance.  People wishing to go to the High School Office, CSE Office and Guidance Office should use the South Parking lot entrance.  There are three visitor spaces directly opposite that entrance.  Doors will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 8:03 a.m., then locked until 2:40 p.m.  The building will be locked at 4 p.m. for the night.  From 8:03 a.m. until 2:40 p.m., the 3rd Street and South Parking Lot entrances will have intercom access so visitors can be buzzed into the building at either location during this time.
